Solution Summary

The Blue Stock application is a web based solution which handles incoming order processing, stock management, and the generation of purchase orders to the head office in Japan. The system is installed as a managed service running on a Blue Box IX200 installed within the clients LAN.

One of the key features of the system is its ability to automatically calculate stock levels and order stock for up to 3 months in advance based on shipping information from both Japan and China on the 12 months sales forecast from clients.

Because of the size and complexity of the system, the project was divided into 8 modules which were developed independently. This approach allowed the full system to be delivered within 3 months time frame specified.
