Blue Fountain takes “positive action” to support green car manufacturers*

Times are tough and set to get tougher so Liverpool based IT company Blue Fountain Systems Ltd. has decided to help staff and support car manufacturers in the UK by offering a subsidy to all staff to buy a new fuel-efficient car.

The company, who specialise in developing real time sequence supply chain applications to the automotive industry, wanted to do something which would target the car makers who have been most badly effected by the recent downturn.

As Hiro Iwaskai, Managing Director of Blue Fountain Systems explained

"There has been a sharp fall in car production becuase of an overall loss of confidence in the market place and we can see that this has a knock on effect for everyone - so I asked what can we do to help?"

Hiro added

"People still need to replace their cars as they get older and also more importantly we need to make the switch from our old inefficient cars to newer, lower carbon emission, more fuel-efficient models that will help save the planet. So from today BFS are going to offer £1,000 cash to every employee who buys a new fuel efficient Toyota or £500 to anyone who buys any new fuel-efficient car and has their old car scrapped.”

This is for all Blue Fountain staff, including those based in Liverpool, London and Brussels."

Aidan McGuire, Sales Director at Blue Fountain commented

"We hope that other companies might follow our lead - the worst thing we can do is to do nothing and panic."
